Invest News DetailYeni Safak - Türkiye’s construction sector has grown 13.2 percent in the second quarter of 2011, creating employment for some 1.8 million people, according to data released by the Association of Real Estate Investment Companies (GYODER). The record employment level in the sector comes as property sales hit 107,308 in the same quarter, an increase of 17.8 percent over the first quarter of this year. The construction expenditures also saw an increase of 19.7 percent when compared quarter-on-quarter, reaching TRY 31 billion, up from TRY 26 billion. The rapidly-growing sector now accounts for 7.5 percent of the country’s total employment.
