Dunya - The Turkish economy will keep on growing at a record rate of 8-10 percent in the second quarter of 2010, according to Türkiye’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Nihat Ergun. “The continuation of two-digit growth is expected in the second quarter, possibly at a rate of 10 percent”, said Ergun, on the basis of the industry statistics observed since the March-April period of 2009. “There is a trend of recovery that reached 8.6 percent in July in year-on-year figures”, stated Ergun. This corresponds to a 0.3-0.5 percent increase in production, without taking into account seasonal fluctuations.
