Turkish Airlines keeps growing

 

Dunya - Turkish Airlines (THY), Europe's fourth-largest carrier by passenger numbers, has achieved 21 percent growth in its international flights and five percent growth in its domestic flights, according to the company’s General Manager, Temel Kotil. Speaking at the MUSIAD (Independent Industrialists & Businessmen’s Association) event entitled – A Success Story: The THY Miracle, Kotil addressed listeners in the Mersin Chamber of Industry and Commerce Conference Hall. Stating that global aviation business as a whole is worth USD 500 billion, Kotil said that THY’s share in the total is about 1.3 percent and that it was their intention to increase this percentage.

 

“We fly to 67 cities in Europe including Russia and Ukraine”, said Kotil, indicating that some 62 percent of THY’s revenues are generated from international flights. “THY is currently the 14th biggest airline in the world, and is steadily growing. We intend to become the biggest”, said Kotil.
