The Turkish rapid delivery startup Getir became Türkiye's second unicorn with a market value of USD 2.6 billion after raising USD 300 million funding for its international expansion.
Getir's founder Nazım Salur revealed on Friday that the company has raised USD 300 million for expansion into new markets in a funding round led by Sequoia Capital and Tiger Global, valuing the company at about USD 2.6 billion.
Launching operations in London recently, Getir plans to expand to Germany, France, and the Netherlands in the first half of the year and in Brasil in the second half, Salur added.
Getir has also attracted USD 128 million from investors including Crankstart Investments, Brazilian Base Partners, Tiger Global and Goodwater Capital in January 2021.
