Dunya - Türkiye’s leading mobile services provider Turkcell will invest 1.5 billion in 2010 for communications infrastructure, its subsidiary Superonline and international affiliates. USD 650 million will be used for improving the communications infrastructure, USD 340 million will be invested in Turkcell’s subsidiary company and the remaining USD 400 million will be used for Turkcell’s international affiliations. Turkcell’s CEO Sureyya Ciliv said they intend to increase the number of countries in which Turkcell operates and that they are currently assessing Kuwaiti mobile operator Zain. Turkcell currently operates in eight countries.
