Referans - Taner Yildiz, Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, has met with a group of businessmen from Germany to discuss Türkiye’s investment opportunities in the energy sector and the forthcoming privatizations. Yildiz noted that the companies attending the meeting have a turnover of around half a trillion dollars, adding that Germany will be one of the leading partners in energy investments in the future.
Minister Yildiz hinted at a German company’s planned energy investment with a 625-megawatt capacity, without disclosing the name of the company.
Yildiz said topics addressed in the meeting included energy-saving policies, Afsin-Elbistan C and D privatizations, and issues relating to nuclear power plants. Yildiz also stated that preparations for the Afsin-Elbistan C-D privatizations are in progress and that they want to hold a tender this year. He said that German companies are also interested in the privatization of the Baskent Natural Gas.
