Air Liquide looks for growth opportunities in Türkiye

Hurriyet Daily News - France-based Air Liquide, a global supplier of industrial gases, is seeking opportunities for long-term investments in Türkiye after announcing its decision to build a production plant in the country, according to executives from the group.

"Air Liquide considers developing countries as an opportunity to grow. Our company has confidence in Türkiye's long-term growth perspective," Olivier Randet, the company's Türkiye director, told Anatolia news agency on Wednesday. Air Liquide is investing in a production plant worth EUR 35 million in the Turkish capital of Ankara, said Randet, adding that the plant will have a capacity of 200 tons of liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen. "This is the first step we have taken here in Türkiye. We want to make long-term investments in this country, which has a lot of potential," said Randet. He also said that Air Liquide had signed an agreement with the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara to develop its photovoltaic research laboratory.
