Invest News DetailCNBC-e - Nine investors are interested in acquiring the controlling share of Koc Holding’s Migros, the biggest chain of supermarkets in Türkiye. Together with Migros supermarkets, Sok discount stores and international Ramstore shopping centers, Migros Turk is serving around 160 million customers worldwide. Among the potential bidders are Croatian Agrokor, CVC, Swedish ICA, Russian Alfa Group, BAIN Capital, Turkven-BC Partners, US-based KKR, French Carrefour and local Kiler Group. Meanwhile Türkiye’s Anadolu Group and Carlye Group from US, which had earlier expressed their interest in Migros decided not to participate in the sale process. Ulker Group, another local firm, said that will not bid for Migros as the bidder consortium, which Ulker is a member of, dissolved. Koc Holding plans to sell Migros in an effort to restructure the holding’s operations and mandated JP Morgan to handle the sale process of 51% stake in the supermarkets chain. Sale process of Migros is expected to be completed in January 2008.
