Invest News DetailHürriyet - Software giant Microsoft has picked its Turkish office for the “Subsidiary of the Year in Emerging Large Category” award for the second time in last three years. Microsoft Türkiye has left behind other emerging country offices including China, India, Brazil, and Russia with its remarkable growth performance, employee and customer satisfaction, high-quality consultancy services provided to public and private sectors and its extensive reach to the country’s SMEs, considered as the locomotives of the economy. Microsoft’s Turkish subsidiary received the same award in 2010. “Microsoft Türkiye successfully meets the demands of Türkiye’s dynamic and entrepreneur-driven economy in the field of information technology,” said Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer at the award ceremony in Atlanta, US. Citing Turkish economy’s rapid growth rate rivaling China’s on the global scale, Ballmer said Microsoft Türkiye, with its 350 employees and more than 11,000 business partners, is a real success story. Active in Türkiye since 1993, Microsoft runs its Middle Eastern and African operations, consisting of 79 countries, from its regional headquarters in Istanbul.
