Dunya – US-based liquid storage solutions provider, HMT Tank Inc., is set to open a manufacturing plant in Türkiye’s port city of Izmir on the Aegean coast. To be integrated into the company’s global production and services network, the plant will manufacture components for HMT’s aboveground storage tanks used in oil and chemical industries, as well as floating and sealed roofs for waste water treatment facilities.
Türkiye has been chosen as the location of this investment due to its unique location between Europe, Asia and the Middle East, where it is readily connected to each region via land, sea and air transportation links, according to HMT officials. The plant will span 2000 square meters of land in Izmir’s Aegean Free Zone.
