Invest News DetailPara - Foreign investors seeking mergers and acquisitions (M&A) are closely monitoring Turkish small-and medium-scale businesses. According to a report in weekly Para magazine published in Türkiye, some 40 private equity funds are looking for deals with Turkish companies. The report states that the foreign investors are increasingly interested in Turkish SMEs, similar to the 2004-2008 period, when large-scale Turkish companies were in high demand for M&A activities. The majority of investors are after companies operating in financial services and energy industries. According to a survey conducted at the M&A International event held in Istanbul past month, 67 percent of 116 investors from 37 countries think that interest in Türkiye will rise considerably in the near future.
