German cosmetics company to invest in Türkiye

Hurriyet Daily News - A German company is planning to establish a cosmetics factory in the southeastern Turkish province of Mardin, according to Nasir Duyan, Chairman of the Mardin Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MARSIAD).

Speaking at a press conference, Duyan said that on the back of the strengthening trade ties with the neighboring countries, domestic and foreign investors had begun to show great interest in the Mardin Organized Industrial Zone.

A German cosmetics company recently decided to invest nearly EUR 20 million in Mardin in cooperation with a Turkish firm, said Duyan, without disclosing the name of the firm.

The company will first invest EUR 2 million in 2.5 acres of land before increasing the figure to EUR 20 million through future investments. “Soon, the company will shift its production from Germany to Türkiye and the facility to be established will provide jobs for 50 people”, he said.
