Akros’ EUR 175 million investment in Bursa will create 500 jobs

Hurriyet - Bursa’s Yenisehir district is about to become the target of a EUR 175 million investment to build an integrated cement-concrete production facility. According to a joint statement by the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Türkiye (ISPAT) and Akros, the building materials factory will produce 2.5 million mt per annum and will export primarily to Russia and to countries in Africa. The export total is projected to be around EUR 70-100 million, while the facility is expected to employ some 500 people initially. ISPAT President Alpaslan Korkmaz spoke highly of the investment, underlining the importance of employment and the high export potential of the project. “Our efforts to attract investments that create employment, raise the competitiveness level and added-value will increasingly continue”, he added.
