Da Silva, the director general of Petrobras Türkiye, said their company and the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) will start exploration efforts to locate oil reserves in a region in the Black Sea, named Sinop block. The project will begin at the end of February and its daily cost will be around USD 1 million, said Da Silva during his meeting with Governor Hasan Basri Guzeloglu of the northern Anatolian province of Samsun.
