Sabah – Türkiye’s rapidly growing economy and rising prosperity levels are increasing the appeal of the country for international retailers, according to the CB Richard Ellis’ (CBRE)annual ‘How Global is the Business of Retail?’ report.
The recently revealed report by the global property consultancy firm, following the footprints of 326 of the world’s top retailers throughout 200 cities in 70 countries, found that Türkiye ranked 14th, attracting 39 percent of all international retail brands surveyed.
Türkiye’s largest city Istanbul proved to be a major target for European retailers with 48.1 percent of the Old Continent’s surveyed brands being present in the city. Istanbul set out to host an international shopping festival beginning last year, that attracted millions of domestic and international shoppers.
