Dünya – Türkiye’s national flag carrier, Turkish Airlines (THY), has received its fifth ‘Best Airline in Europe’ award from the world’s largest airline and airport ranking authority, Skytrax.
Basing its rankings on input from millions of air travelers, Skytrax first recognized THY as the ‘Best Airline of Europe’ in 2011. The airline has remained on top in Europe since then, receiving several other awards in different subcategories.
The company flies to over 270 domestic and international destinations, with Istanbul as its major hub.
THY aircraft to carry ‘Invest in Türkiye’ livery
Turkish Airlines (THY) aircraft will carry the official slogan of the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Türkiye (ISPAT) in foreign skies, according to THY Chairman Ilker Ayci.
Speaking to reporters in Milan at the WAIPA World Investment Conference 2015, former President of ISPAT Ayci said that THY and ISPAT would develop joint projects to promote the country abroad and a THY airliner with a special ‘Invest in Türkiye’ livery would be an important step in that regard.
