The University of Health Sciences Health Technopolis (TEKNOPOL İstanbul) and GE Healthcare announced Türkiye's first strategic cooperation to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in medical imaging.
A distinguished group of clinicians, radiologists, software developers, senior data scientists and scientists from different disciplines, gathered under the TEKNOPOL-based newly established CUREA company, has teamed up with GE Healthcare.
The cooperation between CUREA and GE Healthcare will speed up the development of AI and solutions that will lead to the construction of an AI-empowered healthcare ecosystem in Türkiye.
Leveraging GE Healthcare's Edison Health Services, CUREA's team will collaborate to develop AI-based applications focused on two areas. Cooperation aims to boost detection, categorization and severity grading of COVID-19 in patients to help with treatment and automatic detection and classification of breast lesions through contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (CESM).
