The UAE-based alternative investment manager Shorooq Partners made a significant entry into Türkiye's entrepreneurial landscape by leading a USD 5 million seed round for travel technology startup Roamless. The round also saw participation from notable VC firms such as Türkiye-based Revo Capital, Paribu Ventures, Finberg, and Luxembourg's DeBa Ventures.
Shorooq Partners is renowned for its expertise in fintech, platforms, software, gaming, and Web 3.0, while Roamless is an eSIM provider aiming to transform travel connectivity.
Commenting on the strategic importance of this investment, Shorooq Partners Co-Founder Mahmoud Adi stated, "Türkiye boasts a vibrant and rapidly growing tech ecosystem with a strong talent pool and entrepreneurial spirit. Its strategic location bridging Europe and Asia offers unique advantages for startups aiming to scale internationally.
