On June 24th, the Investment Office held a joint live event with the Singapore Business Federation entitled “Türkiye: Webinar on Market Developments and Opportunities”.
The webinar hosted many senior-level attendees, including Türkiye’s Ambassador Murat Lütem.
Delivering a speech at the webinar, Investment Office President Burak Dağlıoğlu evaluated the global impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak and how Türkiye prepared a strategy to shield the Turkish economy during these challenging times.
Mentioning the government’s rapid-decision making in the face of the pandemic to produce necessary health equipment in collaboration with the private sector, Dağlıoğlu said: “While taking all necessary measures, we have been selective without destroying our economic activity. As President Erdoğan said at the beginning, ‘Fighting this pandemic through healthcare measures is our priority, but we also have to make sure economic activities continue.”
Emphasizing the ever-growing relations between Singapore and Türkiye over the last 17 years, Dağlıoğlu ended his remarks by saying that the Investment Office is ready to lend any kind of assistance to Singapore-based investors who would like to invest in Türkiye.
