The France-Türkiye Chamber of Commerce published on their website a statement regarding the failed coup attempt in Türkiye. Zeynep Necipoğlu, the Chairman of the Chamber, strongly condemned the dramatic and bloody attempt carried out on July 15. She reaffirmed the chamber’s support for the democratically elected government, institutions, the rule of law, and the Turkish people.
Necipoğlu emphasized that the chamber fully backs the non-governmental organizations, public and private institutions with regard to reestablishing stability and continued development in the economy. She added that she would like to see Türkiye continue negotiations with the EU.
The France-Türkiye Chamber of Commerce, established in 1885 and having 450 members, provides support for economic and commercial relations between Türkiye and France.
