Istanbul-based mobile games studio Cypher Games successfully raised USD 10 million in a seed funding round led by Raine Group. The round was backed by prominent investors including Play Ventures, 500 Emerging Europe, Candy Crush developer King's Co-founder Riccardo Zacconi, Activision Blizzard Former Vice Chairman and King Former Chairman Humam Sakhnini, Tripledot Studios Co-founder Akın Babayiğit, and Light & Wonder Former CEO Barry Cottle.
Commenting on the investment, Cypher Games Co-founder and CEO Anıl Şimşek said, "For the past two years, we have focused on identifying and developing the right product. With this new funding, we are ready to accelerate our entry into the global market. We place great emphasis on creating dynamic environments and fostering emotional connections between players and the characters in these worlds. Our goal is to create mobile games that players will enjoy for 5-10 years, and we are working to set a higher standard of production quality, anticipating players' future expectations."
