Barceló to invest EUR 40 million in three new hotels in Türkiye

Milliyet - Enrique Acrich Ecker, General Manager of Spanish hotel chain Barceló Hotels, said they will invest EUR 40 million in Türkiye within three years. "We already have four hotels in Türkiye, two of them being in Istanbul, one in Ankara and one in the Belek district of Antalya,” said Ecker, stating that the probable locations for three new hotels to be opened within three years include Istanbul, Antalya, and the Bodrum district of Mugla.

Barceló runs its business in Türkiye by granting operating rights to hotel investors. “Barceló’s turnover in Türkiye surged 10 percent in 2010 year-on-year to reach EUR 21.5 million,” said Ecker, adding that their target for 2011 is 7 percent growth and EUR 23 million turnover.
